Welcome To My Green Pasture....

It is a place of quiet rest that I have found when I am writing. I hope that someone will find my musings helpful in some way.
Psalm 23:2 "He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restoreth my soul."

My Poetry Page

This page is just a collection of some of my poetry I have written...hopefully not too horrid! I love to write it but it doesn't always come out quite the way I planned and I don't claim to be great so forgive me please if it is not quite right!
                    Memories By The Sea
When I was a little girl, I walked by the sea.
I loved to watch the waves as the breeze blew over me.
The foghorn from the lighthouse was a comforting sound;
And the seagulls overhead hovered all around.
I looked for tiny holes as I walked along the sand.
I had a little bucket and a shovel in my hand.
It was always fun to dig and search for clams.
I'd take them in my bucket back to my Gram's.
She would coat them all with batter and fry them in a pan.
Then I'd sit out in her yard and try to get a tan.
The last time I remember was the fourth of July,
when I clapped and cheered as Lubec's parade went by.
Sometimes my cousin Scott and I would ride the firetruck.
We'd wave to all the people and wish them all good-luck!
We'd enter all the races like the three-legged one,
and we'd even try the sack race til the day was done.
These memories are so special now;I long to be there still!
When all in my life seemed to bring a thrill.
I wish I could get back the times I had back then!
Our Life goes by so quickly...so enjoy it like you're ten!

                                       Sisters
There are some things I've learned about friends in this life.
Some come and go,while some cause you strife.
Some people really try to show they do care;
But it's hard to find a friend who will all your burdens share.
My sister is a friend who has been there through thick and thin.
She always cheers me up and knows how to lift my chin.
I am so glad to have her in my life.
With just the right words she helps me through my strife.
Just when things are looking bleak and I feel like I can't take:
she picks up the phone and says "You're gonna make it!"
Thank you , Sister, for being a great friend.
I hope that when we're old and grey we'll be LAUGHING at the end!

                                                         LETTER TO MOMMY AND DADDY
                                                           (dedicated to all who have a child in Heaven)
The angels came one morning and took me away.
I'm happy here in Heaven; with Jesus everyday.
I've got angels who play with me on the streets of gold;
The people are not sick and they never get too old!

The food up here is always great!
They never serve the stuff I hate.
The animals are so kind,
and always gently sweet;
and I even get to sit right here at Jesus' feet!

Oh, Mommy! I'm glad that I'm in Heaven,
so please, don't be sad...
I'll be waiting for my brother and for you, Mom and Dad!
